LAC seeks a Health Care (Pharma/Biotech) Researcher to work at a fast-paced firm in San Francisco, which has recently been named one of the top 100 Best Companies To Work For. We are looking for an energetic and resourceful junior-level researcher with approximately 2–5 years of relevant research experience in the areas of health care, pharma, biotech/medical devices. Candidates must be knowledgeable about the connection point between science and business arenas in these related fields. At least 1+ year of health care–industry research experience and familiarity with a range of research sources such as IMS, EvaluatePharma, and more, are required.
The Researcher will be part of the global health care group and will be processing research requests focusing not only on the U.S. but also on the global health care industry. The researcher will be expected to develop a sub-specialization and database expertise over time. Researcher will also provide training to consultants and colleagues, keep abreast of the industry, and manage vendor relationships. This is a fast-paced professional environment which requires the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and organization skills are a must.
Requirements:
Must possess all of the following:
- 1+ year of research in the health care field, performing in-depth specialized research; of particular interest would be pharmaceutical pipeline, biotechnology, medical devices, health care;
- University degree with demonstrated high academic achievement; a graduate degree is a plus (business; life sciences; research-related, or other related field);
- Familiarity with a broad range of health care and business resources, e.g. IMS, EvaluatePharma, and Factiva;
- Extremely professional demeanor; the ability to interact effectively with all levels of colleagues; excellent time management and organizational skills; the ability to evaluate the quality of data and to synthesize results for the end user / requestor of information
