Additionally, this position participates in orientation, tours, and teaching. The Access and Research Services Librarian reports directly to the Head of Technical and Access Services.

The University of San Francisco Gleeson Library | Geschke Center is seeking an engaging, creative, and forward-thinking information professional with excellent computer and communication skills to be the sole manager of a small library for professional working adults at the USF San Jose Campus. This position supervises one Library Assistant and reports to the Head Librarian of Distance Learning Services & Regional Libraries. As part of a distributed workgroup of nine library staff members on five campuses, this librarian also works closely with the USF San Jose Campus administrators, faculty, program directors, and information technologists.
Minimum Requirements
- MLS or MLIS from an ALA-accredited program or its international equivalent
- Minimum two years professional experience in public services, preferable academic
- Friendly and highly service-oriented, with demonstrated ability to interact cooperatively with adult nontraditional students, faculty, colleagues, administrators, and information technologists
- Flexible and able to handle gracefully the pressures and demands of a busy branch campus environment
- Works well independently as a solo librarian and as a supervisor
- Strong communication, organization, oral, written, and technical computer skills

Mills College is recruiting for a Library Specialist–Circulation. This position manages the activities of the F. W. Olin Library’s Circulation Desk. The primary responsibilities include:
- Supervise the activities and work flow of approximately 20 student employees, including hiring and training, preparing work schedules and assignments, and revising and developing training materials.
- Supervise all circulation activities and procedures including fines and billing, holds, renewals, searches for missing books, etc. using the Innovative Interfaces Millennium system. Investigate and resolve circulation problems and complaints as necessary.
- Supervise the Library’s course reserve and electronic reserve operation, including scanning materials for online access, creation of catalog records, and close coordination with faculty to ensure timely processing of materials.
- Provide a basic level of referral and information service.
- Compile statistics and assist in special projects.
- Perform other duties as needed and assigned.
