| Description: | Reference and Instruction Librarian Position: This is a Full-time, 12-month contract librarian position with benefits, faculty status. Archbishop Alemany Library at Dominican University of California seeks a librarian to work in a creative, collegial academic setting with strong outreach and technology initiatives. Reporting to the Dean of Library Services, the Reference and Instruction Librarian provides research assistance, research consultations, teaching information literacy classes, provides advanced classroom instruction, selects electronic and print materials, and supports the Library, the campus, and the community through his or her work. Responsibilities: This position provides reference service to faculty, students, and community members including some evening and weekend hours; plans and teaches information literacy classes and advanced workshops in information resources and management; serves as liaison to selected academic departments or disciplines; evaluates and selects library materials in all formats; participates in the maintenance and management of electronic resources; serves as the Library budget manager; plans and executes special projects as needed; other duties as assigned; participates in Library and campus-wide committees; stays professionally current.
