RESPONSIBILITIES

This position in the Implementation Services Department is responsible for managing staff who develop and deliver customer training for Innovative products and for overseeing Innovative's training programs. The Manager, Training Programs will manage a group of training consultants and web developers based in the western US and Asia as well as:

• Coordinate overall scheduling of workshop programs
• Oversee development of online tutorials
• Manage development of new workshop programs
• Work with other departments to ensure appropriate staff are available to lead workshops for topics not covered by training staff
• Track changes in training technology and champion the introduction of new tools as appropriate for Innovative
• Other responsibilities as needed for the success of the organization

Coordination with other ISD managers and staff, and with staff in other areas, particularly Customer Services, Sales and Documentation is also key to this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 3 years experience with integrated library systems
• Excellent record of performance in a collaborative work environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
• Ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail Sensitivity to cultural differences

DESIRED

• Experience in instructional design
• Experience in development of web-based tools
• Experience working with international customer base
• At least 2 years experience in direct management of professional staff MLS or equivalent
