| Description: | Krames is the healthcare industry's premier publisher of consumer health information products sold into the business-to-business market. We are seeking a part-time medical Librarian to join our Library team. You will conduct health information research on a project by project basis using a variety of hard copy and electronic resources to provide bibliographic support for Krames' pharmaceutical, custom and sales and marketing groups. Other duties may include conducting business and market research, gathering and analyzing information relating to the sale of our products, conducting market research, and analyzing factors such as pricing, distribution and product performance. (This position is 20 hours per week.) Qualified candidates will have a MLIS or MLS from an ALA-accredited school or be currently working towards a MLIS/MLS degree. (If an MLS student, you must have a demonstrated interest in health sciences librarianship via coursework, internship, or experience.) All candidates must be proficient in using bibliographic databases (MEDLINE, MDConsult, Up to Date, etc). Other requirements include strong bibliographic verification skills, strong research skills using both hard copy and electronic resources, knowledge of medical terminology, the ability to effectively manage projects independently and meet deadlines, a proven ability to effectively interact with diverse individuals, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and organizational skills, and knowledge of MS Office. Proficiency with Excel, Endnote, InDesign and/or Quark, ability to conduct business and market related research and strong academic research experience preferred. Lexis-Nexis and Dialog and prior experience in a health or bio-sciences library a plus.
