Library Associates [Recruiter], Beverly Hills, California: Competitive Intelligence/Reference Librarian, Riverside, CA

LIBRARY ASSOCIATES is seeking a dynamic Competitive Intelligence/Reference Librarian with strong experience in competitive intelligence, business research, and legal/nonlegal research in a legal environment. This is an excellent opportunity for the incumbent who thrives on challenge and responsibility. This is a full-time, direct hire position in the Riverside area.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive competitive intelligence (CI), legal, and nonlegal
  research and reference services;
• Carry out data collection and analysis, as needed or assigned;
• Use an array of tools to obtain information required to support better
  strategic decision making and comply with ethical standards and the Economic
  Espionage Act of 1996 in all data-collection activities;
• Analyze data collection and draft reports;
• Assist in preparation of presentations and reports for senior management
  and other units of the company. Take primary responsibility for some
  presentations;
• Other duties and responsibilities, as required or requested.

Qualifications:

• Master of Library Science (MLS) or Bachelor's Degree and equivalent
  experience.
• At least two years of business experience in the legal industry.
• At least two years of competitive intelligence experience.
• Excellent writing skills.
• Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word,
  Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
• Knowledge of the World Wide Web and research experience with on-line
  databases is also essential.
