Library Associates is conducting a search for a highly-qualified law
librarian for our client, a large national legal information services
provider. Library Associates seeks a Law Library Client Manager to develop
and implement a regional Client Relations program for law library clients
that builds excellent relationships within a three-state region in the
Southwest and on the West Coast.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Participate in the development and teaching of legal and non-legal
curriculum especially designed for legal professionals;
- Host and teach continuing education seminars for legal clients;
- Consult with clients to define requirements for products that complement
Companys online research product;
- Work with Companys Sales and Account Management to support legal
information professionals needs and market products and education to client
principals;
- Serve as a Company key-customer contact by representing Company at
professional associations, Company-sponsored events, and local schools;
- Coordinate presentation of professional development courses for legal
information professionals;
- Participate in and provide educational programs for AALL, SLA and other
local and regional professional association meetings;
- Serve as Company contact with local schools and interact with faculty and
students;
- Support clients through direct interaction with Company customer service, technology and content departments;
- Speak on behalf of Company and the Client Relations program;
- Travel throughout region (OR, CA, AZ);
- Other responsibilities as needed or requested.
Qualifications:
- DMasters in Library Science and/or Juris Doctor is mandatory;
- 5+ years of private law firm library experience required;
- Experience teaching large groups and experience presenting information in
front of large groups are mandatory;
- Thorough understanding of cost recovery is required;
- Broad-based knowledge and experience with legal information resources and
legal technology applications;
- Effective verbal and written communication skills required;
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills required;
- Must be able to travel regionally, locally, at times nationally, up to
25% of the time;
- Law library association leadership experience strongly preferred;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality required;
- Strong customer service attitude required;
- Displayed project management skills required;
- Excellent interpersonal skills required;
- Self directed and capable of driving multiple initiatives simultaneously
required;
- Strong leadership and management skills required;
