Part-Time Library Assistant (San Francisco), Library Associates [Recruiter], Beverly Hills, CA

LIBRARY ASSOCIATES seeks for immediate consideration an ongoing Part-Time Library Assistant to work in a small law firm library approximately one day per month.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a simple inventory of all library materials (using MS Excel)
• File loose-leaf updates that are published weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, and annually
• Verify with invoices accuracy of shipments
• Communicate with head librarian (in different CA office) and with law firm management
• Straighten library, shelve books, shelf-read books to ensure in order
• Open and route all library mail to appropriate person(s)
• Work with head librarian to ensure maintenance of Sacramento branch law library
• Other related library-assistant duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous loose-leaf filing experience in a law firm is strongly preferred
• Previous library assistant experience is preferred
• Ability to communicate in a professional matter with law firm staff, head librarian, and possibly vendors/publishers of legal materials
• Detail orientation, strong filing ability
