Description: THE POSITION:

The San Mateo Public Library is recruiting for a Library Manager. This position offers the opportunity to have a leadership role in shaping the Library's services and programs. The Library Manager will serve under the direct supervision of the City Librarian and responsibilities may include: Staff and team development; technology and automation; budget management; collection development; outreach services; statistical reports; marketing and customer service. A strong candidate will have proven managerial skills with an emphasis on shared management, interest based negotiation; self-managed team principles, and the ability to apply effective communication skills orally and in writing. A strong candidate will have experience in serving diverse populations. The San Mateo Public Library is part of the Peninsula Library System located in the Bay Area of Northern California. SALARY RANGE: $5,252 to $6,262 monthly plus benefits
