San Mateo Public Library, San Mateo, California: Library Manager

The San Mateo Public Library is recruiting for a Library Manager. This position offers the opportunity to have a leadership role in shaping the Library's services and programs. The Library Manager will serve under the direct supervision of the City Librarian and responsibilities may include: Staff and team development; technology and automation; budget management; collection development; outreach services; statistical reports; marketing and customer service. A strong candidate will have proven managerial skills with an emphasis on shared management, interest based negotiation; self-managed team principles, and the ability to apply effective communication skills orally and in writing. A strong candidate will have experience in serving diverse populations. The San Mateo Public Library is part of the Peninsula Library System located in the Bay Area of Northern California.
