Information Research Analyst, Agilent Technologies, California

Business librarian position. Provides complex business and market research solutions to our research community in order to promote R&D, support and enhance innovation and business decision-making processes and build on Agilent's intellectual property.

Required:

1. strong analytical and quantitative skills;
2. expertise developing complex business search strategies using leading business tools;
3. a working familiarity with RSS feeds, blogs, open access, the COUNTER statistical standard, OpenURL, link resolver systems and DOI standards;
4. a second nature for detail;
5. strong presentation skills;
6. a passion for implementing emerging technologies to improve information access;
7. a fairly aggressive approach to negotiating for content;
8. a strong service bent toward working collaboratively across business units.

Qualifications:

• ALA-accredited Masters Degree in Library Science or ALA-recognized international equivalent, plus a minimum of 6 years relevant experience.
• An additional post-graduate degree or certification in economics, business management or other related disciplines is desirable.
