OVERVIEW
Innovative is seeking an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment to join the Union Database Services Department. The Union Database Services Department implements and supports Innovative's INN-Reach product. INN-Reach provides participating libraries with a union catalog and between-system circulation functionality. An INN-Reach system is composed of a Central system and all of the associated member libraries systems.

Responsibilities:

• Provides implementation and consultation services for new and existing INN-Reach systems including database profiling, system configuration and product options.
• Manages a variety of implementation projects and support issues on a daily basis.
• Builds and maintains relationships with customer project leads from the beginning of implementation and extending throughout support services.
• Provides telephone and e-support for INN-Reach customers using Innovative software on large multi-user UNIX systems.
• Works with customers with varying levels of technical expertise to effectively pursue and resolve issues in an expedient manner.
• Analyzes, troubleshoots, documents, and resolves application issues reported by customers using UNIX and proprietary utilities.
• Tests software fixes and evaluates INN-Reach software development.

Requirements:

• MLS or other relevant degree, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in at least one of the following areas:
  • Library circulation department or library technical services
  • Software support or help desk
  • Strong commitment to service
• Ability to manage multiple projects and swiftly adjust priorities.
• Familiarity with automated library systems and information technologies.
• Facility for learning new software.
• Proven analytical and problem solving skills.
• Detail-oriented approach with excellent follow-through..
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment.

• Fluency in Spanish, Arabic, or CJK languages.
• Previous experience working with an Innovative system and/or the INN-Reach product.
• Previous experience working in a UNIX environment.
