This is a part-time (32 hours) para-professional position
Examples of duties:
- Supports acquisition, cataloging, reviewing and distribution of library materials.

Requests duplication of audiovisual materials.

Maintains catalog systems using library software system, including InMagic and Millenniuim.

Manages incoming requests via web, phone and fax, as well as distribution of requested materials.

Provides statistical data to Kaiser staff and library users.

Provides customer service and education to library users including use of library and online resources, information on Kaiser Permanente's programs, and provides material for instructional and teaching purposes.

Markets library resources to internal and external customers using multiple communication modes.
- Promotes community connections to library with community groups, agencies and schools to meet needs for clinical and health education programming.

Maintains department online files on shared drive, which contains forms, program literature, etc.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in library setting.

Experience in a Multimedia department, medical/patient education field, and/or library field.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and exercise good judgement.

Strong proficiency in PC-based software.
- Familiarity with library software, particularly InMagic and/or Millennium.

Experience performing database searches.
