Research Librarian, Library Associates [Recruiter], Beverly Hills, CA

Library Associates seeks for immediate consideration well-experienced candidates and referrals for a RESEARCH LIBRARIAN position in Los Angeles. Experience with finance, financial services, wealth management, investment, and/or banking would be a plus!

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide reference services using print and non-print resources.
• Perform customized research and complex literature searches in a very cost-effective manner.
• Employ classic research techniques and Boolean logic in formulating research strategies and executing research.
• Maintain knowledge of company- and/or industry specific information/research.
• Find and evaluate usefulness and reliability of new electronic/print resources.
• Maintain list of newsletters and periodicals in circulation.

Qualifications:

1. Master of Library & Information Science, or equivalent experience.
2. Three (3) years of substantive research experience, preferably in a corporate or for-profit environment.
3. Understanding of cost-effectiveness and cost-recovery as relate to the execution of research.
4. Excellent interpersonal/communication and organizational skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Ability to work on and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
7. Strong proficiency with Internet-based search engines and online databases, especially those that related to business and financial research.
8. Understanding of financial/banking/investment concepts a plus.
