Library Associates seeks qualified individuals for an exciting career in sales. Our client, one of the nation's leading library automation software providers, has an open position for a LIBRARY SYSTEMS SALES PERSON to drive their sales effort in their Western and Northwestern territory this position requires a diligent, outgoing, knowledgeable professional that likes to travel and is driven by success. This position offers an excellent compensation package with a generous base salary and very rewarding commission structure

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the sales effort in the Western and Northwestern territory, which includes: CA, AZ, NV, OR, WA, UT, ID, NM, CO, WY, MT, AK, HI, and British Columbia.
  • Grow business and awareness of the client's ILS.
  • Prepare contracts for sales orders, quote prices and credit terms.
  • Develop and maintain reports for prospects, business expenses and transactions.
  • Consult with the marketing and inside sales representatives to maximize results.
  • Consult with costumer support to keep track of client comments and concerns to best serve them.
  • Coordinate customer training.
  • Up to 50% travel spanning the above mentioned territory to work with existing clients, prospect new ones, and attend tradeshows.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in software sales or subscription sales.
  • Experience selling to executive level decision makers, and government agencies.
  • Must have strong consultative selling experience.
  • Prior experience selling ILS products in an academic library or public setting a preferred.
  • Ability to manage every aspect of a sales cycle from start to finish.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, public speaking, and relationship building skills.
  • Must be able to write clearly and graciously.
  • Can work independently, self motivated, and organized.
  • Ability to read and determine prospects needs to close the sale.
  • MLS preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year university is mandatory.
