Description:

Library Associates seeks experienced Librarians / Archivists to build a digital asset management system for our client in the East Bay, California. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Create online and offline systems for storage and retrieval of digital assets by designing new processes;
  • Facilitate quality control, sharing resources, and representation of the product portfolio;
  • Help IT developers build sales and marketing applications for use in the field that interact with the central database for use in the field.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in online cataloging and archiving;
  • Experience in the use and design of archives, databases and repositories;
  • Experience in the use of IT design tools;
  • Ability to work with technical staff;
  • Experience writing detailed business requirements for development projects;
  • Demonstrated initiative in generating new ideas to foster process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of oenology, viticulture, and wines and spirits – such as product categories and nomenclature, highly desirable;
  • Project management training or experience;
  • Familiarity with French, Italian, German and Spanish;
  • MLS or digital asset management degree or equivalent experience.
