| Description: | LAC seeks for immediate consideration, an experienced Project Archivist for temporary position related to speech/hearing in Rockville, MD. The position expected to last through January 2008. Metro accessible.
Responsibilities: · Develop a policy for acquiring Archival material; · Establish a collection policy to address consistency of retention, to include hard copy items to be digitized; · Identification of items for digitizing will also take into consideration issues of copy right and intellectual-property rights; · Prepare an access policy that will address processing materials for the archives, including access points, source metadata, and description to the folder level; · Establish polices that include print, auto-visual, object media and hard copy; o Policies will include how records will be loaded into the ILS and a compilation of the policies and procedures that will serve as the administrative manual for the archives; · Ensure that the records created will be compatible with either SoftLink or EOSi integrated library system (ILS); Qualifications · Certified Archivist or MLIS strongly preferred; · Minimum 1-2 years of librarian/archivist experience; Compensation: $20-21 per hour DOE To Apply: Email resume to Marcy Johnson, marcy@libraryassociates.com, with a courtesy copy to Patty De Anda, pdeanda@libraryassociates.com.
