Collection Development Manager

ebrary is seeking a collection manager to be responsible for the development and management of a variety of eBook products for the academic market. Typical tasks include analyzing titles for collection assignment, performing collection comparisons, supporting sales group requests for title and collection data, and developing processes to improve customer content selection.

Candidates must have experience with academic library missions in providing content to their patrons and must demonstrate the ability to analyze collection data, identify problems, and suggest solutions. A strong service orientation along with a broad understanding of LC classifications as well as other subject taxonomies is required. An MLS (or equivalent experience, preferably in Collection Development or Acquisitions) with strong Excel skills and FileMaker experience is preferred.
