| Description: | The Pleasanton Public Library, serving 67,000 citizens in the beautiful tri-valley area east of the San Francisco Bay, has an opening for a full-time reference librarian. One of Northern California’s premier residential and business communities, Pleasanton is well regarded as an attractive and friendly city with well-educative, active and involved residents, a wide variety of services, well-planned business areas, a historic downtown and well-cared for homes in family-oriented neighborhoods. The City enjoys a strong and stable tax base and is a supporter of the Library. The Library is open 62 hours a week and has a staff of 49 with an FTE of 27. The Pleasanton Public Library has an active intergenerational outreach program of cultural arts, instruction and entertainment, including an NEA-sponsored Big Read program this fall. The staff is friendly, has a sense of humor and genuinely enjoys working together. The annual salary range is $57,828 to $70,284.
