KNOWLEDGE MANAGER

Anshen+Allen Architects is an award-winning, international practice specializing in architecture for healthcare and academic institutions. Take this opportunity to join our Information Services Team as Knowledge Manager in our creative, collaborative and stimulating environment. Compensation package includes healthcare, vacation, holidays, EAP, profit sharing and bonus opportunities. Salary range is $75-$80k depending on candidate qualifications.

Responsibilities 

    • Bring current and best knowledge and information management practices to the firm. Work collaboratively with IS Team, domain experts and other staff members in developing vision and implementation strategies to effectively design, document and implement a knowledge sharing program specific to our firm’s needs.
    • Work collaboratively with IS Team to cultivate and manage intranet content, develop and promote online collaborative tools.
    • Develop a knowledge capturing program to collect, assess, codify, catalog, curate, and present intellectual and knowledge assets. Monitor for suitability, replace and refresh as appropriate. 
    • Provide support for establishment and nurturing of knowledge collections and access tools including workshops, tutorials, individual guidance and troubleshooting.
    • Monitor and evaluate the knowledge sharing program, including external benchmarking and evaluation programs / opportunities.
    • Actively publicize our organization’s knowledge sharing program internally and, in collaboration with our marketing team, to external audiences.

Skills / Qualifications 

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; articulate, friendly and reassuring.
    • Work well in a collaborative team environment.
    • Highly organized.
    • Familiar with a variety of metadata and information architecture models.
    • Degree in Library/Information Sciences, Knowledge Management or Information Architecture preferred.
    • 2-5 years experience in capturing intellectual capital, taxonomy development, and knowledge base creation.
    • Knowledge of architectural practice and firms a plus, but not required.
    • Well acquainted with a wide range of databases and web technologies. Knowledge of web delivered service systems a plus.
