Copy Cataloger, Library Associates Companies [recruiter], Malibu, CA

LAC is seeking a Copy Cataloger for a Technical Services Department of a major university located in Malibu, California. This is a part-time temporary position for three months or more. Direct hire is a possibility. This position requires 3 days a week for a total of 24 hours each week

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Copy cataloging of monographic materials
• Database maintenance tasks
  
• Assists with technical services projects as required.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• Minimum of two years of college in an accredited Library Science program and/or two years in a College program leading to a Library Technical Assistant (LTA) degree.
  
• Knowledge of MARC 21, AACR2, LC Classification and LC Subject Headings
  
• Experience with OCLC Connexion
  
• Experience with a library automation system such as Voyager
