EDUCATION & APPLICATION COORDINATOR
Anshen+Allen Architects is an award-winning, international practice specializing in architecture for healthcare and academic institutions. Take this opportunity to join our Information Services Team as education and application coordinator in our creative, collaborative and stimulating environment. Compensation package includes healthcare, vacation, holidays, EAP, profit sharing and bonus opportunities. Salary range is $75-$80k depending on candidate qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Curriculum development & documentation: responsibilities include assembly, editing and authorship of in house training manuals relating to hardware and software used in the firm. Evaluate existing training materials and procedures and recommend revisions or create new training content.
- IS introduction for new staff: New hire IS orientations, training classes for technology, liaison between IS and new hires.
- Administer staff education such as workshops and Lunch’n’learn programs: Provide software and hardware training available to staff within offices and off-site work locations; audiences will vary in size and may include people with a wide range of computer skills and educational levels. Coordinate training programs with vendors from outside the office. Coordinate training programs with Continuing Education coordinator to track licensure requirements. Coordinate with staff development team to ensure fit of IS educational programs with firm-wide needs.
- Impromptu educational interventions: assist project team members to best use the technologies available to them to achieve maximum performance in a timely fashion to meet deadlines.
- Proactively assist project teams to plan effective use of Information Services: Support project teams in identifying best use of information services and tools to meet their needs. Assist with implementation of new software and hardware. Coordinate the most effective use of IS time to implement new hardware/software transitions, training, implementation.
Skills / Qualifications
- Exceptional verbal and written communication to clearly present both technical and non-technical information effectively to diverse groups of people. Demonstrated success teaching technological topics. Proven experience writing training materials. Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies rapidly, given access to appropriate technical resources. Ability to adapt in constantly changing technology environment.
- Proven teamwork skills and flexibility.
- Strong sense of customer service.
- Excellent organizational skills including ability to manage multiple projects
- Proficient in Windows OS environments, MS Office Suite products (including MS Project), Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop, Functional knowledge of HTML/ Ability to troubleshoot HTML, file transfer systems (e.g. FTP, SharePoint).
- Desired proficiency in the following : Citrix (GoToMeeting), UNIX/Linux, Mac OS environments, MS Project, Dreamweaver, CSS, Flash.
- Knowledge of architectural project management a plus, but not required.
